SitterCentralDallas is an online service that connects exceptional families with outstanding sitters. SitterCentralDallas does all the work for you. We personally interview, background check, reference check and C.P.R. certify all sitters, allowing us to create a pool of babysitters that are of extraordinary education, experience and talents. 


   
Becoming an SCD parent member:
Parents must complete a profile and purchase a membership online in order to have unlimited access to search for sitters according to their personal scheduling needs. Parents can view the sitter's profile and book an interview or appointment online with the simple click of a button. 

Unlike other babysitting websites we have done all the work for you. We have made absolutely sure that the sitters we provide are the best of the best.   All you have to do is choose the sitter that best fits your needs and then request to schedule their time.

Becoming an SCD sitter:
Babysitters register online, complete a personal profile and provide their references online. SitterCentralDallas reviews the profile and then contacts the sitter to arrange an interview. Following the interview, sitters must pass the background check and 3 reference checks.  The final step is becoming C.P.R. certified, if not currently certified. After all of these steps are completed, the sitter is added to the site and awaits requests from a family.

How do I know if there are sitters in my area before I pay the membership fee?

You can view the selection of sitters in your area before you purchase a membership by going to www.SitterCentralDallas.com, enter the date and time a sitter is needed, enter your zip code and click quick search.  You will see available sitters based on your scheduling needs. Select a babysitter's profile from the search results. Other information is provided regarding our babysitters including their level of childcare experience, age, gender and a personal description once you become a member.

After finding that there are exceptional sitters that you would love to have babysit your children in your area, you will have the opportunity to purchase a membership with SitterCentralDallas. Once you choose a membership you will be able to browse and contact the sitters directly via the website.

How does SitterCentralDallas ensure that sitters are superior?


We guarantee that our sitters are exceptional for several reasons. We ONLY accept sitters that fit an extremely strict criteria.  SitterCentralDallas sitters MUST
            have a minimum of two years experience in childcare


            be currently studying at the college level or have a college level education


            be C.P.R. certified and have talents and interests in a variety of areas


            undergo a comprehensive background and reference checks.


SitterCentralDallas personally interviews, background checks and reference checks all applicants to ensure that all caregivers are of the highest quality. We also rate our sitters based on your feedback. Those who have great feedback and respond to their requests promptly receive higher ratings. Before we accept a sitter to our site, they must read and agree to a set of Sitter Expectations.  If Sitter Expectations are violated, the sitter receives a strike. If acquiring three strikes, we remove the sitter from the site.  
With SitterCentralDallas you never have to guess if your child is going to receive quality care because we have taken the time to make certain that the candidates available on our site are the most outstanding sitters in Dallas.

Your membership provides access to sitter profiles and the ability to contact the sitter via the website. We guarantee a sitter if the request is made 24 hours in advance. We cannot guarantee that a babysitter will be available when needed on short notice (less than 24 hours). We do, however, have the following policies in place to increase the likelihood that you will always find a sitter:
            Our sitters are required to keep their schedule updated at all times


            Our sitters must respond to your babysitting request within 12 hours.


            A text message and email is sent to the sitter as soon as you send a request. 

      
If you request a sitter 24 hours in advance and receive 2 or more declined requests, we personally contact you to assist you in finding a sitter.


If you have a request that is less than 24-hour notice and you call us at 214-697-5846 or email us at SitterCentralDallas@gmail.com, we will assist you in filling the job quickly.
 
Short notice policy:
For a small fee, you can get peace of mind that your sitter needs are covered.  For less than 12 hours notice SCD Emergency will charge $25.00. If the request is less than 4 hours notice SCD Emergency will charge $40.00 to find you a quality sitter quickly.
 

What can I do to improve my search for a sitter?

SitterCentralDallas has taken the anxiety out of finding a sitter. 

To make your search for a quality babysitter successful, please review the following tips:
1. Enter the zip code, date and time into Find A Sitter on your profile page.
2. Read through the profiles of sitters available at that time.
3. Choose a sitter that best suits your family
4. Click on Reserve A Sitter and click submit
5. An email is automatically sent to the sitter.  The sitter is required to respond to your request within 12 hours.

Question: What if the sitter does not respond within 12 hours?
Answer: Because the sitters are required to keep their schedules updated this should not happen often.  In the event that this does happen, return to the Find A Sitter search and repeat the process.

What are the SCD babysitter expectations?

Our sitters are expected to uphold the highest babysitting standards. Before a sitter is accepted as an SCD sitter they must agree to the following expectations:
They will be CPR certified within 30 days of my SCD interview. 




They will respond within 12 hours of the initial “ You Have a Babysitting Request” email and text message by logging on to my personal SCD account.


They will contact the family by PHONE within 12 hours and verbally confirm the accepted job request.


They agree that they will not be late or no show any accepted job request.


They will not use the computer, make phone calls or text at jobs while the children are present. 




They will dress appropriately and professionally to all jobs. 




They are responsible for cleaning any mess made with the children before parents return.

Does SitterCentralDallas guarantee that the sitters I contact will respond?

SitterCentralDallas cannot guarantee that a babysitter will respond to your request or be available when needed, BUT we do make significant efforts to ensure that babysitters keep their profiles up-to-date and respond to parent inquiries in a timely fashion. 
When we interview our candidates, we require that each babysitter agrees to a set of Sitter Expectations.

Sitters are asked to review, sign and adhere to strict standards while representing SitterCentralDallas. (See SCD SITTEER expectations page) One of our SCD Expectations requires our sitters to keep an updated schedule at all times. When you are searching for a sitter, our unique scheduling system only gives you options of sitters that are available at the date and time you need them. 


The process of requesting a sitter works like this:
Search the database and choose a sitter that you want to reserve. When a request is sent, our system sends out an email notification AND a text message notifying the sitter that they have a pending request. The sitter must log in to their account and accept or decline the request within 12 hours. After accepting the request, the sitter is required to call within 12 hours and verbally accept the appointment.
The SCD strike system:
A sitter will receive a strike if a response is not received within the given time frame or if a sitter cancels an appointment. If a sitter receives 3 strikes we suspend their profile. If a sitter "no shows" a family they will be automatically suspended from the site.
Parents have the ability to report a babysitter via feedback if they have an issue with a babysitter not responding to an inquiry or keeping an appointment.  Babysitter ratings reflect an average of the reports from parents and are displayed in the search results for each babysitter.

What can I do if a babysitter I contacted does not respond?

One of the most unique features of our site is that you can only book a sitter based on her availability. When you search for a sitter our unique scheduling system only give your results of sitters that fit your specific scheduling needs. SitterCentralDallas requires our sitters to keep their schedules current, so when you request a sitter for a specific date and time, the sitter should be available to babysit.


If the sitter is not available to sit for any reason, the sitter is still required to respond to your request immediately to notify you that they cannot accept your request.   



From your profile page, click on my sitter requests, click on the leave feedback button for the sitter that sat for you, and complete the form.  Your commentary will be incorporated and displayed on the sitters rating.

Why can't I see the babysitters' contact information on their profiles?

At SitterCentralDallas protection of both our client's and sitter's personal information is of highest importance. The sitter and family get an email with each other’s contact information after the sitter has accepted the job request. 

How does SitterCentralDallas rate their sitters?

When you conduct a search you will see that SitterCentralDallas has placed five purple circles in each babysitter's profile page. These circles are a reflection of the feedback from families and the amount of strikes a sitter has received.  

Following each babysitting appointment, we ask that parents give us feedback on the performance of their sitter. Our system notifies us immediately if a babysitter has not responded an inquiry in a timely fashion or has failed to keep appointments. Any negative or positive reports received from parents are reflected in the amount of circles displayed on a babysitter's rating. 

We operate on a strike system: three strikes and you are out.  For the first negative report, the sitter will receive a phone call from us, the second warrants an email and phone call and after the third negative report, the sitter is removed from our site.
 

What if my sitter cancels?

SitterCentralDallas cannot guarantee the services of the sitter. We have carefully selected each candidate and hope that the performance of the sitter will never be an issue. We have attempted to safeguard you from this issue by requiring that our sitters complete several steps to become an SCD sitter.  


1.  We require that each sitter updates his/her schedule as it changes.  The sitter, therefore, should not have a time posted that they are not be available to babysit.

2. We require that our sitters accept or decline your job offer online within 24 hours of your request 

3. The sitter must personally call you and verbally accept the appointment within 12 hours of accepting your job offer online, unless it’s after 9pm. 

4.  IF a sitter has an emergency they must call you as soon as the emergency arises.  

5. We have a lot of sitters available on the site in short notice and welcome jobs at the last minute, so if a sitter cancels, simply request another sitter. WRITE QUICK RESPONSE NEEDED IN THE NOTE TO SITTER SECTION.  

It is our hope that through these steps, you will never be sitter-less.  In the event that a sitter has an emergency, cancels or does not show for a job, please let us know by leaving us feedback by clicking on the LEAVE FEEDBACK BUTTON on your MY SITTER REQUEST’S page we review all feedback and will contact you if necessary.

When will my credit card be billed?

Your billing cycle begins on the first day you created your account. You will be billed monthly from that point forward on the same day.

For example: You signed up for SitterCentralDallas on March 3, 2009, every month from March 3rd 2009 until March 3rd 2010 you will be billed $32.95 monthly on the 3rd day of every month for 12 consecutive months.

What is our cancellation/refund policy?


We take extreme pride in SitterCentralDallas and will do everything in our power to ensure that you are a satisfied customer. Cancellation/ Refund Policy:
There is no refund policy  By purchasing a membership and you are agreeing to the length of your contract. Your membership subscription to SitterCentralDallas will continue for the term of the membership you decide to cancel at the end of your subscription.  You are expected to cancel your membership 7 days prior to your last billing cycle or your plan will automatically renew for the next term.

What are the sitters HOURLY RATE?

The babysitter’s hourly rate is located on her profile under the category "sitter experience." In order to view a babysitters experience you have to be a member of SitterCentralDallas. All of our sitters have different backgrounds so their rates vary. If the sitter is not a teacher, professional nanny, or have obtained specialized childcare training they are considered a BABYSITTER. 

We have a set rate policy for any BABYSITTER who does NOT have a dollar amount on their profile.
 
For one child it is $10.00 per hour.
For two children it is $11.00 per hour.
For three children it is $12.00 per hour.
For four children it is $13.00 per hour.
For each additional child after 4 please add $1.00 per hour
 
You are welcome to tip your sitter if you feel they are doing an excellent job!!
Please remember these are set prices. If a sitter is not following this SCD POLICY we encourage you to call us directly at 214-697-5846or email us at SitterCentralDallas@gmail.com to handle the situation appropriately.  We expect every SitterCentralDallas sitter to perform to our standard of approval.

Why do I need to reserve my sitter through the website?

The only way SCD can guarantee you a sitter is when the request is booked through the site. Once you reserve your sitter and she clicks accept her times are blocked off the site and she is no longer available to be requested by another family.

Can I book a sitter by text message?

Of course you can BUT you must later request through the site to confirm your sitter will be there.  Once you schedule her through the SCD site, it will block her from being requested by another family.  The job request from the site will be honored over a text message sent to a sitter without a confirmation through the site.

Why do I need to reserve 24 hours in advance?

Reserve a sitter 24 hours in advance so the sitter has enough time to respond and prepare for the job.  The sitter has 12 hours from the initial request to accept or decline the request. Our sitters are also required to call by phone within 12 hours to confirm the accepted appointment, unless after 9pm.


We also require our sitters to dress professionally, arrive on time, and bring an age appropriate craft, game or activity. If she doesn't have adequate response time she won't have the ability to go above and beyond your expectations.

What if I need a last minute sitter? Can I book a few hours before I need her?

YES you can BUT the closer you get to the appointment time, the less likely it is that you'll get a response. We recommend you request your sitter 36 hours in advance so that we can fill the job in case you get a decline for FREE.

If I have short notice and NEED a sitter can I reserve more than one sitter?

YES! We encourage you to try to reserve multiple sitters. This increases the likelihood of a short notice accept.

What if I haven’t received a response, but I NEED a sitter NOW?

That’s easy!  Call 214-697-5846 we will be gladly accommodate your needs. SCD EMERGENCY works like a charm every time!!  For a small fee, you get peace of mind that you sitter needs are covered.  Less than 12 hours notice SCD Emergency will charge $25.00. If the request is less than 4 hours notice SCD Emergency will charge $40.00 to find you a quality sitter quickly.

Can I refer my SCD sitter to a friend?

Of course!  We encourage it!  Since our sitters are amazing we know your friends will want them!  Encourage your friends to join and book their SCD sitter through their personalized membership profile. Yes you get a month free for each friend you refer.


The only way to guarantee a sitter in a moment’s notice is by booking online.  It is important to book your sitter online so that we can guarantee a sitter at a moments notice. If your friends are borrowing our sitters that we work HARD to find, there may not be one available the day you need a sitter.
